Wow, okay, believe it or not, I've never actually done an opening statement, this is my first final. I've been a longtime juror and get tired of reading long openings, so I'll try and keep this prompt and pithy.
Anyway. Coming into this game I didn't know what to expect. I had allies that had a lot of past history that let me slip into a comfortable position as middlewoman with them. Aside from people I knew, I branched out to the others and tried to play the role of the social butterfly, someone anyone and everyone could talk to.
The first half of the game was rather slow, I just worked on spreading myself out and getting to know people while showing up and remaining in the game.
Come merge I had to turn my back on people who may have thought that we were closer than we really were and had to put the blinders on and stay loyal to those who I originally promised to be loyal to.
With all the chaos that happened I had 2 roles that I wanted to keep. I wanted to be a sort of shepherd to my alliance and keep my group connected, and I also wanted to make my presence known so I couldn't be accused of riding coattails.
I made good relationships and showed that I was a damn fierce force of a bitch to be reckoned with, and I look forward to your questions.
