Sixteen castaways were stranded in the remote South Pacific nation of Tonga to compete in a battle of the elements for the title of Sole Survivor and the "million dollar cash prize" that came along with it. They were divided into two tribes of 8: AFI, the tribe of fire, and VAI, the tribe of water. Both names were Tongan for their respective elements.

The tribes were immediately informed of a Survivor Shop accessible in their confessionals. As they progressed in the game, won challenges, completed bonus objectives via Deep Point (puzzles/games), and played HIIs, they would accrue points to use as cash to buy potentially game-changing rewards good through the final five. The rewards included nullifiers, vote doublers and triplers, and even hidden immunity idols. They were shocked by this, knowing that it would bear great impact on the game.
While VAI was uniting quickly, pre-game relationships sparked tempers immediately on AFI, causing them to lose the first immunity challenge. Though Erinn had not done the challenge, she flirted her way out of the hole and Rodger was the first person sent packing, as he was dubbed “the weakest,” had a bad reputation with some of his tribemates, and hadn’t talked to anyone since the game had started.
Even though Spencer mutinied to AFI because he felt on the outs of VAI, round two wasn't much better for AFI. VAI came out on top once again due to AFI's hastiness. Due to their failures to cooperate, Chris, Parvati, and Erinn targeted Laura as the weak link, the latter even starting rumors about rumors. Laura was blindsided at Tribal Council.
AFI knew they had to win the next immunity challenge or VAI's streak would grant them a huge advantage in Survivor Shop points, which was potentially devastating come merge. Determined, AFI was able to break the streak even though Jenna began having computer issues and they were down a member. VAI went to Tribal and voted off Chase, who had not contributed anything material to the challenge.
With Colby leading the troops, VAI managed to turn the tables again in the following week thanks to NaOnka's incredible effort. At an uneventful Tribal Council, AFI sent Spencer home, as they could not trust him after he mutinied over and did almost nothing over the past three challenges to gain that trust.
The following week, the first live challenge was held. Despite being down a member due to Jenna's PC problems, AFI was able to eke out a victory because NaOnka fell asleep before doing its part. VAI was sent to Tribal Council once again, where Natalie W. was voted out due to her unexplained disappearance.
With AFI having a numbers advantage at 6-5, VAI knew they had to win the next challenge. Colby continued to give pep talks to rally the tribe, which annoyed some of his tribemates. As Colby had been a dominant force in Deep Points, he had earned a lot of points at the Survivor Shop. He purchased a 2x nullifier to use against his opponents. Natalie B. voted with Colby and NaOnka was blindsided by a 2-1 vote, enraging Courtney and Todd.
The tribes merged into KULUPU (Tongan for “group”) the following round, with AFI outnumbering VAI 6 to 4. Jenna's PC problems had been fixed and AFI appeared to be a tight-knit group. As VAI was in shambles, Colby immediately went to Chris to form an alliance and Natalie B. went with him, celebrating her new alliance by ceremoniously burning the cake she loved so much. Todd approached Parvati about getting rid of Colby while Chris and Colby planned to target Todd, but Todd won immunity. Afraid that someone from VAI had an HII, Hunter and Jenna schemed to throw two votes in for Natalie. The others had no choice but to vote Courtney out, and Courtney was eliminated by a crazy 4-3-2-1 vote. No rewards were used, but Courtney was furious in her exit.
The game got even more chaotic in the following week. Hunter bought the first of four available Hidden Immunity Idols at the Shop. Todd, being a loner, had no choice but to align with those who did not vote for Courtney, namely Parvati and Erinn. The following round brought the Survivor Auction, which was nearly ruined by Erinn and Parvati (who was subbing for Hunter) putting on a sex show. Jenna won a reward nullifier, J.P. bought a 25% off coupon for the shop, and Colby and J.P. won immunity, but J.P.'s eventually ended up around Jenna's neck. J.P.’s actions made it clear that he and Colby were tight, which angered some of the others. Seeing Todd was vulnerable, the big alliance knew they had to get rid of him before he went on a streak. Despite Erinn and Todd both using Triple Votes to target Natalie, Todd was sent packing due to Jenna's auction reward and Chris's 2x Nullifier.
Erinn began to go insane, knowing she was next on the chopping block. She bitched people out, “divorced” her "husband" Chris from a prior game, and set forth a goal to raise hell. Wishing to make All-Stars, Natalie decided that Colby needed to go in the “coup of the century.” She told Hunter that Colby and Chris were leading J.P. and Jenna after him; the two decided to go after them instead and needed Erinn's assistance. Erinn had no other option and went with it. J.P. earned an auto-self-vote by not completing the Majority Rules challenge, while Hunter won immunity and purchased a 2x Nullifier to ensure his plan would work. While Colby was feeling uneasy about him being made out to be a threat at the challenge, Erinn decided to make Chris a decoy and made him paranoid enough that he would be targeted. The trio's plan came to fruition and, despite Chris nullifying Erinn's vote due to his paranoia, Colby was blindsided by a 2-1-1 vote and sent to the jury house with a just-purchased Hidden Immunity Idol still in his possession. Natalie made it known that it was her idea, which gave Colby a bitter exit.

Hunter, having other ideas, approached Jenna about re-establishing their alliance from before Jenna’s computer crash. Hunter told Jenna what had happened with Colby and, despite his lying and her using him at the same time, the two decided to target Chris, who was again playing both sides. With the person winning the challenge taking a vacation from Tribal, a lot was at stake. Erinn, Hunter, and Natalie all opted to throw the challenge, knowing they’d thus have majority at Tribal, and Chris, Jenna, and J.P. all did the challenge and tied. Chris forfeited and Jenna won, thus missing Tribal. Natalie convinced Chris to blindside Hunter, but this was merely a plan to coax Chris out of nullifying her vote. In the massive hysteria at Tribal, Chris nullified 2 votes against him from Erinn and Hunter as Natalie failed to goad out a Hidden Immunity Idol from J.P. that didn’t exist. Hunter played his own HII, nullifying Chris and J.P.’s votes, and Natalie’s plan to blindside Chris came to fruition, completely shocking him and sending him to Ponderosa as the fourth jury member.
Unbeknownst to the remaining players, Colby, Parvati, and Todd were competing for a jury tiebreaker vote as well as a final four tiebreaker vote at Ponderosa. Todd won them both, thus giving Erinn some insurance to make the finale.
Back at camp, J.P. exploded and went on a tirade, even threatening Natalie, who thought he was funny. The challenge turned the castaways against each other in a rock-tossing bucket-filling scramble; Jenna and Natalie tied and Jenna again emerged victorious. Going into Tribal, which was the last time rewards could be used, everyone was nervous that multiple rewards would be used. Having just bought one, J.P. was the only to have a Hidden Immunity Idol, but Jenna was packing plenty of heat due to the points she had accrued in the last two rounds. Natalie and Erinn assumed she had the last HII, but were mistaken. When their plan to convince Jenna to give an HII to Hunter failed, since the HII didn’t exist, it backfired in their faces. Hunter and Jenna used triple and double votes respectively and J.P. played his idol and, with all of the nullifiers flying around, Hunter was the only one whose vote came out unscathed, sending Erinn to the jury by a vote of 4 to 0 (though Jenna’s double vote was halved, it was not read).

J.P. struggled, Jenna was frazzled, and Natalie was clueless; however, Hunter only narrowly beat Jenna and J.P. for immunity. The castaways gathered at Tribal that night and Erinn, despite being on the jury, tried to make a scene by insulting J.P. She was requested to leave, becoming the first juror removed from a Tribal Council. Tribal was a hotbed for Natalie and J.P., who could not get over their prior disagreements, which left the Hunter-Jenna pact intact and in power. Erinn came back after a talking-to, being able to witness Natalie and J.P. going at it in the most heated Tribal Council fight of the season. Erinn eventually yelled for them to stop, which was seconded by Jenna. The two stopped but still voted for each other; Hunter and Jenna opted to split their votes so the vote was 2-2. Todd’s prize came into play, and he decided to vote out J.P., making him the sixth member of the jury.
At the jury house, several people expressed their disgust at comments Natalie made towards J.P. at the previous Tribal Council, some of them wondering if she had caused his explosion earlier. Meanwhile, the final three were greeted with an incredibly difficult final immunity challenge, which Jenna won in an impressive time of 1 hour, 29 minutes. In pleading to take them to the finals, Hunter argued for Jenna to keep her integrity and honor their early alliance, while Natalie believed she’d be easily beaten against the jury. Jenna opted to take Hunter, as she wanted to duel with the best. Natalie became the last member of the jury, leaving two original AFI members as the final two. Upon her entry to Pornonosa, the renamed jury house, Natalie and Colby got into a heated argument about integrity, rattling the jury before going the Final Tribal.
At the Final Tribal Council, Jenna opened with a brief, positive statement while Hunter recapped the entire game from his point of view, revealing his alliance with Jenna which led to them being the final two. Amanda and a few members of the jury dozed off during his speech. Jenna added a few comments about her own alliances in response to Hunter, but again kept it short.
Todd addressed the final two first and asked Jenna to beg for his vote and requested both her and Hunter to compare all nine of them to a Paramore song. As instructed, Jenna prayed to Todd’s torch, calling him “amazing,” and amused Natalie by saying Natalie ripped wings off butterflies. Hunter believed he was born for this game.
Natalie went second. She blasted Jenna for “inactivity and ugliness” but complimented her ability to redeem herself from those negative qualities. Natalie attacked Hunter for taking credit for her ideas, floating, and for droning on during his opening statement. She asked both finalists to improvise a ‘sassy’ song about her and play to her ego. This produced results, including Hunter proving that white men can, in fact, rap. Both songs can be found here.
Chris went third and was happy with the final two. He praised Hunter’s gameplay, but thought he made mistakes in voting him (Chris) out before J.P. and not voting Jenna out while he had a chance. Hunter clarified that he did not know of J.P.’s idol and wanted Chris gone for being a challenge threat. Chris appreciated the compliment, but disagreed because Hunter knew about J.P.’s discount coupon. Chris said Jenna impressed him for her ability to come back so strongly from her computer issues. Jenna thanked him and wished he were with her in the finals.
Parvati held no grudges, but asked Jenna about her self-vote in the round that she (Parv) was booted and what moves she made that lived up to Hunter’s. Jenna took responsibility for the self-vote, claimed to have played an honest game, and that she was there when her allies needed her the most. Parvati asked Hunter how he stood up to Jenna’s rebound and how he outwitted her in the game. He replied that he was in control the entire time, that he had won three immunities just like Jenna, and that, sans Courtney as per his plan, every person he voted for was who was voted out. Parvati stated that she made up her mind with who she was voting for, but didn’t say who.
J.P. proclaimed that he was voting for Jenna, saying she deserved it and that she was a good friend to him. Jenna went up and hugged him.
Erinn was not thrilled at all about the final two. She attacked both their gameplay and mocked J.P. She was told to keep it subtle or she’d be dealing with Lividmanda. She asked the final two to compare jury members to symbols. Jenna offered peace; Hunter offered respect. Both noted Todd’s strength, J.P.’s unpredictability, Colby’s well-rounded leadership, Natalie’s craziness, Chris’s well-roundedness, and Parvati’s energy.
Colby closed the show. Preaching about honesty, he asked Jenna just how much information she gave Hunter since the two differed on the subject. Jenna clarified that she was playing Hunter and only giving him enough information to earn his trust and thus get information in return, but the two distrusted each other anyway because of Colby’s blindside. Colby said he had Hunter pegged as a manipulator from the beginning and asked if being a backstabber would catch up to him. Colby also asked Hunter about his being paranoid about being targeted. Hunter was somewhat arrogant in his response, but covered his bases and said that his relationships are what get him far in any game. He also stated that he felt paranoid when Colby could not commit to a vote, hence why he participated in the blindside.
In the end, Jenna won the title of Sole Survivor by a 5-2 vote, garnering the votes of J.P., Chris, Natalie, Todd, and Colby. Hunter received votes from Parvati and Erinn and was the runner-up.
All-Stars were announced as the following:
Natalie Bolton, the head bitch in charge. Blindsided people like a madwoman to further herself and remained in control by staying loyal to only a few alliances, but became hated in the process. Natalie was later removed for calling Amanda a c***.
Hunter Ellis, the manipulator. Played both sides brilliantly and made the final two by making bonds with everyone. Ran scenarios and made several good choices to further himself.
Todd Herzog, the physical dominance. Won two immunities to save himself and made a cross-tribal alliance with Parvati and intended to stay loyal to it until she was voted out.
Erinn Lobdell, the sex symbol. Full of flamboyance, anger, and lust. Managed to go from being the target to controlling the game alongside Natalie and Hunter but ended up blindsided at the final five.
Jenna Morasca, the comeback kid. Came back from computer disasters and won several immunities, aligned with those she needed to, and ended up winning the game.
Colby Donaldson, the motivator. Motivated VAI to three challenge wins and intended to keep his integrity though others didn’t. Would have had a strong case for winning had he not been blindsided.
Tonga was truly an amazing season from start to finish and I was extremely happy to be the one to host it. Let’s hope the rest of the series can be as legendary as how it started!

Natalie went second. She blasted Jenna for “inactivity and ugliness” but complimented her ability to redeem herself from those negative qualities. Natalie attacked Hunter for taking credit for her ideas, floating, and for droning on during his opening statement. She asked both finalists to improvise a ‘sassy’ song about her and play to her ego. This produced results, including Hunter proving that white men can, in fact, rap. Both songs can be found here.
Chris went third and was happy with the final two. He praised Hunter’s gameplay, but thought he made mistakes in voting him (Chris) out before J.P. and not voting Jenna out while he had a chance. Hunter clarified that he did not know of J.P.’s idol and wanted Chris gone for being a challenge threat. Chris appreciated the compliment, but disagreed because Hunter knew about J.P.’s discount coupon. Chris said Jenna impressed him for her ability to come back so strongly from her computer issues. Jenna thanked him and wished he were with her in the finals.
Parvati held no grudges, but asked Jenna about her self-vote in the round that she (Parv) was booted and what moves she made that lived up to Hunter’s. Jenna took responsibility for the self-vote, claimed to have played an honest game, and that she was there when her allies needed her the most. Parvati asked Hunter how he stood up to Jenna’s rebound and how he outwitted her in the game. He replied that he was in control the entire time, that he had won three immunities just like Jenna, and that, sans Courtney as per his plan, every person he voted for was who was voted out. Parvati stated that she made up her mind with who she was voting for, but didn’t say who.
J.P. proclaimed that he was voting for Jenna, saying she deserved it and that she was a good friend to him. Jenna went up and hugged him.
Erinn was not thrilled at all about the final two. She attacked both their gameplay and mocked J.P. She was told to keep it subtle or she’d be dealing with Lividmanda. She asked the final two to compare jury members to symbols. Jenna offered peace; Hunter offered respect. Both noted Todd’s strength, J.P.’s unpredictability, Colby’s well-rounded leadership, Natalie’s craziness, Chris’s well-roundedness, and Parvati’s energy.
Colby closed the show. Preaching about honesty, he asked Jenna just how much information she gave Hunter since the two differed on the subject. Jenna clarified that she was playing Hunter and only giving him enough information to earn his trust and thus get information in return, but the two distrusted each other anyway because of Colby’s blindside. Colby said he had Hunter pegged as a manipulator from the beginning and asked if being a backstabber would catch up to him. Colby also asked Hunter about his being paranoid about being targeted. Hunter was somewhat arrogant in his response, but covered his bases and said that his relationships are what get him far in any game. He also stated that he felt paranoid when Colby could not commit to a vote, hence why he participated in the blindside.
In the end, Jenna won the title of Sole Survivor by a 5-2 vote, garnering the votes of J.P., Chris, Natalie, Todd, and Colby. Hunter received votes from Parvati and Erinn and was the runner-up.
All-Stars were announced as the following:
Natalie Bolton, the head bitch in charge. Blindsided people like a madwoman to further herself and remained in control by staying loyal to only a few alliances, but became hated in the process. Natalie was later removed for calling Amanda a c***.
Hunter Ellis, the manipulator. Played both sides brilliantly and made the final two by making bonds with everyone. Ran scenarios and made several good choices to further himself.
Todd Herzog, the physical dominance. Won two immunities to save himself and made a cross-tribal alliance with Parvati and intended to stay loyal to it until she was voted out.
Erinn Lobdell, the sex symbol. Full of flamboyance, anger, and lust. Managed to go from being the target to controlling the game alongside Natalie and Hunter but ended up blindsided at the final five.
Jenna Morasca, the comeback kid. Came back from computer disasters and won several immunities, aligned with those she needed to, and ended up winning the game.
Colby Donaldson, the motivator. Motivated VAI to three challenge wins and intended to keep his integrity though others didn’t. Would have had a strong case for winning had he not been blindsided.
Tonga was truly an amazing season from start to finish and I was extremely happy to be the one to host it. Let’s hope the rest of the series can be as legendary as how it started!
